Review: God of War Ascension
The original God Of War game that came out in 2005 on the Playstation 2, set the bar high. Most critics hailed the game as classic worthy so you’ll have to excuse God Of War Ascension if it doesn’t quite live up to those lofty standards set by its predecessor. Review: NBA 2K13 Dominates The Paint
Rap fans really didn’t need the confirmation but Jay Z reintroduced himself anyway on his standout “Public Service Announcement” track from the Black Album some years back. When I first played NBA 2K13, I got the same feeling I experienced when listening to Hov’s bold boasts on PSA: here is a great basketball video game series that could’ve rested on its laurels this year but instead stepped up its game reminding everyone why it’s on top. Aligning themselves with the aforementioned MC to executive produce the soundtrack, 2K Sports has put out one of the dopest, more engaging sports titles that I can remember in a minute. Madden NFL 13 Review
As a Madden veteran, I’ve experienced the many changes EA Sports has implemented into their annual football series in an effort to keep it fresh. Everything from introducing defensive playmaker, to yellow vision cones for quarterbacks (mockingly called flashlights by some) and new technology that Madden 10 boasted called Pro-Tak, EA has thrown a lot of stuff at the wall with varying degrees of success. 2K Sports Announces NBA® 2K12 Legends Showcase
Yo, this looks crazy. 2K Sports just announced available this holiday season will be a new add-on mode for NBA 2K12 game called Legends Showcase. It’s going to cost you some change though as the downloadable content will be available for $9.99 on the Playstation Network and 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live.
Legends Showcase featuring a new, cell-shaded art style set in New York City’s iconic Time Square, allows gamers to select from more than 150 of the NBA’s all-time greatest players, including Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Dr. J, and compete in authentic pick-up games from 1-on-1 up to 5-on-5. Legends Showcase also features mini-games, such as 21 and H-O-R-S-E, along with other new features like the 2-on-2 Teammate Challenge and 3-on-3 Era Challenge. Gamers can also unlock current NBA players to create unique match-ups between legends and current stars. Finally, for the ultimate challenge, gamers can bring their My Player into the mix and battle the legends of the NBA to see how they stack up against the best ever.
As a bonus, the standard Quick Game matchup will open up in the main game and you’ll be able to ball online with NBA’s Greatest teams in a regular simulation setting.
