Something new I’ll be doing on the site is posting slideshow updates of my NY Yankees franchise that birthed in MLB The Show 14. Ever since Sony San Diego Studios made year to year saves a reality, I’ve been carrying my Yankees franchise through each release since ’14’ and currently it’s in year 2028.

2015 wasn’t kind to the Yankees, as we failed to qualify for the playoffs and the Braves swept the Orioles to win the World Series.

2016 was a bit better for the Yankees as they signed Elvis Andrus to replace the retired Derek Jeter and they made the playoffs. The Tigers ended their season in a ALDS 3-1 loss.

Editors note: Year 2017 wasn’t captured but we failed to qualify for the playoffs in a bad year. The damn Red Sox won the World Series (yuck.)

2018 was yet another playoff-less year for the Yanks. The Royals finally broke through with their stellar pitching staff and defeated the Nationals in the World Series.

The much improved Yankees won 103 games and took the East crown in 2019. We defeated the Mariners in the ALDS but were denied entry into the World Series by the young Royals who best us in the ALCS. The Royals would make their second World Series appearance in a row but fell short of the repeat as they went down in defeat to the Pittsburgh Pirates who finally snapped a 39 year old drought.
