Hell hath no fury like an extremely talented MC overlooked by the game, so Ransom’s out for “Revenge,” on his latest cut from the upcoming mixtape “The Alternate.”
Quick backstory: I’m chilling in the crib one night and the wife tells me some cats are filming a video across the street from us. The song sounded dope, so I go outside, connect with this unsigned artist named Mickey Da Kid. A few days later he sends me the debut video for the song I heard that night. Peep “Want The World To See,” grab the mp3 attached and also check out his mixtape hosted by DJ Superstar Jay, From Crayons To Crowns.

I was just saying the other day that Ghostface would sound perfect over Adrian Younge’s compositions. Apparently they agreed as they present the first single off their upcoming collabo “Twelve Reasons To Die,” album due out April 16th. Sick.
The legendary Ralph McDaniels recently stopped by the Combat Jack Show to talk about his creation Video Music Box among other seminal moments in his illustrious career. I was raised on Video Music Box.
It’s the Box That Rocks! Ralph McDaniels, founder of the seminal Video Music Box talks thirty years of history. Highlights include how Big Daddy Kane shot someone causing him to miss “The Symphony” video shoot, how we wasn’t fucking with Mr. Magic at first, gunplay at NaS’s “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” video shoot, running with a young and grimy Russell Simmons, allowing a young Jay-Z to play hype man for the Notorious B.I.G. and how really good he is in these streets. This is #RapHistoryMonth b. #Newmanati.
Realm Reality’s In The Grind We Trust doesn’t drop until Feb 12th, but here’s a banger to hold you over featuring some illustrious spitters in Roc Marciano, Ag Da Coroner & Termanology.

Raekwon was on Combat Jack’s show last week and hooked up with Just Blaze for a quick freestyle session. The result was epic. Just Blaze pulled out something retarded for the first part of the freestyle from his bag of tricks, Rae floated.
Tracey Lee walks right out of the 90′s time machine and sounds like he hasn’t missed a step on his new joint. One of the select few rappers who made real songs with Big, not no made up shits.
I can’t think of a better way to kick off 2013 than hearing some new bars from AZ. With this new freestyle, AZ is preparing his fans for the release of his new album Doe or Die II, which will be released later this year.
New shit from the highly underrated Queens MC, Ali Vegas. Book Of Ali is entirely produced by Sha Money XL and is a dope project worth your time checking out.
No skinny jean shit here, just a dope mixtape cooked up by DJ Deadeye. Compliments the Wu-Block album perfectly. Tracklist and download under the cut. Continue reading →

This is crazy. Araab provides Mafia an ill sound bed for him to talk that shit on. From the forthcoming mixtape “Straight Savage” hosted by Big Mike & DJ Kay Slay.

Loso still loves this rap shit although NY is sometimes guilty of not showing him the appropiate love back. He’s always been one of NY’s finest and this joint from his forthcoming Soul Tape 2 is the evidence.
